Individual Resume 

Zhenpeng Hu, male, the master's supervisor, graduated from University of Science and Technology of China with bachelor's degree in 2002, graduated from Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale (preparatory) of University of Science and Technology of China in 2008, with the doctoral degree in condensed matter physics, supervised by Prof. Jianguo Hou (the Member of CAS) and Prof. inlong Yang. Later, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at University of California, Santa Barbara. He was the introduced talent of Nankai University in 2011 and was selected in 1000 Top Talent for Three Years in Tianjin plan. In 2016, he arrived at University of Wollongong as a visiting scholar to carry out the cooperation research.


Research direction: 

Theory design and computation research related to new energy and new materials.


Research topic and academic works: 

The research topic mainly includes the theory calculation research related to the surface single-molecule device, the research on efficient utilization of oxide catalytic methane and theoretical calculation for hydrogen production with photocatalysis, study on theoretical calculation of new vanadium oxide function materials, theory design and performance prediction of other new materials, involving the electronic, magnetism, catalysis and other fields. He carries out the cooperation research with many colleges and universities and research institutions at home and abroad. He also undertakes 2 state-level projects and 3 provincial and ministerial-level projects. In 2016, he gained the funding of young teachers granted by Fok Ying-Tong Education Foundation. In the last three years, he has published 7 peered-review papers as a corresponding author in SCI 1st-section journals, such as Nature Communications, etc.; So far, he has published over 40 SCI papers in total, which was cited for over 1000 times, with the H-index of 18; and he concurrently serves as the reviewer of high-level journals such as Nature Communications, Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, etc.
