Biography:

Prof. Dr. Guoquan Zhang, the doctoral supervisor, has been engaged in the research on weak-light nonlinear optics and its application, quantum nonlinear optics, slow-light & optical pulse storage and its application, optical super-resolution interference for a long term. He has published more than 120 pre-refereed papers in journals such as Phys. Rev. Lett., Adv. Mater., Sci. Rep., Opt. Lett. and Appl. Phys. Lett., edited 2 sets of international conference proceedings and published 3 chapters in Chinese/English monographs. He undertakes and completes more than 10 scientific research projects such as 973 Programs and National Natural Science Foundation of China. He once obtained 4 awards, including Second Prize for National Natural Science Award (the fourth person-in-charge, 2005) and Tianjin Science & Technology Award for Youth (2008), and obtained 3 authorized national patents for invention. He is the senior member of the Optical Society of America, has been awarded the New Century Excellent Talents Supporting Program of the Ministry of Education, and is also the first-level candidate of Tianjin 131 Project, as well as the member of the editorial board for Laser Technology and Laser & Optoelectronics Progress.
