Lijuan Zhao gained the Doctor of Science degree in 1998,
studied in Nankai University for postdoctoral degree in 1998-2000, studied in Humboldt-University zu Berlin for postdoctoral degree in 2002-2005, and has worked in Nankai University since 2000. Integrating the equal stress on integrity and ability of Nankai University and keeping improving of Humboldt-University zu Berlin, she is the Professor and doctoral supervisor who love the life and work and seriously work and live at present.

Research direction:
Luminescence theory and luminescent material design, in short, the work focuses on the generation mechanism research of electromagnetic wave from ultraviolet to infrared band in electromagnetic spectrum and how to modulate the electromagnetic spectrum through the material design.
Research topic and academic works:
The presided research topics include the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Key Foundation of Tianjin, and General Program Foundation of Tianjin, and the existing project in research is the preparation, performance optimization and application research of rare earth body phase doping Fluoride nanocrystalline of National Natural Science Foundation, with research period from Jan. 2016 to Dec. 2019.
She has published over seventy articles and two teaching papers in SCI retrieval magazine, domestic core journals and academic meeting at home and abroad, and published one article in China Education Journal. Her representative academic papers include the Royal Society magazines: Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys. American Physical Society magazines: J. Appl. Phys and Adv. Appl.
